THE WAY is a cinematic and photographic project that showcases various lighthouses across the New England region. More importantly it expresses the profound biblical symbol of Christ as the guiding light in the midst of darkness. Presented through a short film and a series of framed photo prints, this project is centered around the voice and perspective of a lighthouse keeper writing to a sailor lost at sea. Through rain and storm, the keeper sends out light—not just as a beacon, but as a message of hope, direction and rescue.

Rooted in the words of Jesus from John 8:12, where He declares, “I am the light of the world,” and John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” The Way is a visual and narrative meditation on gospel truth. The Keeper represents God the Father—steady, unwavering, calling out through the storm. The lighthouse represents Jesus, the light of the world, our true security and only way to eternal life. The voice of the sailor, battered and disoriented, is the soul in search of ultimate safety—pulled between the waves of the world and the gentle invitation of the Father.

THE WAY invites the viewer to consider the truth behind every storm: there is a light that does not fail, and a way that leads home.

AN INSIDE LOOK

“We shot this project in the dead of a New England winter—freezing winds, numb hands, snow in our gear—but every minute was worth it. That’s what makes it memorable: getting in the elements, chasing a shot, and really making something out of nothing.”

Connor Doyle

THE KEEPER

Christian brought the lighthouse keeper to life with gritty, grounded realism. A real-life Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy, he carried the weight of the sea in every frame. His offshore experience gave him the stillness, strength, and edge the role demanded. You never fully see his face, but that’s the point—his presence speaks louder than expression. He didn’t just perform—he became the keeper, embodying a character that felt raw and unforgettable.

SOUND OF THE WAY

Our soundscape aimed to fully immerse viewers in a storm-laden world. Every detail was intentional. Distant howls of wind and the crash of relentless waves. Rain hitting rooftops and the groan of old wooden floorboards. Foghorns echo through the mist. These layered sound effects weren’t just background noise—they became a voice of their own, building tension, and drawing the viewer deeper into the story’s emotional and spiritual atmosphere.

Inspired by the song “Bring Me Down” by Life O’Reilly, Chloe Port composed a soft, reflect piano piece for our marketing videos. The original shanty, hauntingly voiced in the 2018 thriller The Vanishing, carries a timeless weight. Chloe’s arrangement captures the quiet emotion and longing woven into the project’s story—subtle, but deeply connected to the heart of the film.

We set out to share more than just visuals—we wanted to reflect the truth of the gospel: that in the darkest storms, there’s a light that never fails and that light is Jesus Christ. We’re grateful to share this story and the hope behind it.
